I sculpted this hi-poly figurine in Mudbox and Maya, and got it 3D printed as a wedding gift.
The following works are from One Per Person (2016), an animated short film co-directed by myself and Jacquelyn "Jac" Piette. I supervised the modeling department, co-supervised the look development department with Dave Howe, and worked on several models. All modeling was done in Maya. In addition to my models, the turntables below feature work from the following talented team members:
Texturing/Look Develoment: John Wallace, Dave Howe, Miguel Santiago Jr., Conrad Egan, Linlin Si, Ryan Prestridge
Concept Art (upper right): Gregory Culp
Nancy
I modeled the character.
Prop Models (tray/chicken/toothpicks): Conrad Egan
Gertrude
I modeled the character's body, and finalized the head model which was started by Gregory Culp.
Prop Model (phone): Dave Howe
Kara
I modeled the character, except for the shoulder straps which were modeled by Doris Wang.
Carousel
Responsible for all modeling
This is the intial sketch I drew of the set for One Per Person. After finalizing the design, I created a rough model of the entire set, established a file structure for the environment assets, and broke it up into individual files that were referenced into a master set. The rough set was used for layout while I delegated the assets amongst the modeling team. I supervised the modeling team as they worked to refine each model, providing style guides and drawovers to help achieve a consistent look.
This is the opening shot of One Per Person, featuring the final environment, along with the Kara and Gertrude models in motion.
